New Moon In Review
We have all heard of Twilight, the almost overnight phenomenon that has millions of teens hanging on with any and every mention. With such a big following, it is such a shame that Bella, Edward’s muse, is not the exact model of the perfect leading lady. Bella is a stupid, pathetic, horrible excuse for somebody who is in love. Even though the story is fiction, a normal person falling in love with a vampire and all, but nobody, absolutely nobody, starts screaming in the middle of the night because they are so in love with someone and they miss them that much. What kind of an idiot screams like she is being viciously attacked because she is in love with a vampire? Everybody has been in a hard relationship, but nobody screams randomly in the middle of the night. In the second movie, New Moon, whenever Bella gets herself in a dangerous situation she sees Edward’s face. Because she “misses” him so much, she gets herself into all these risky situations on purpose just to see his face. There is absolutely no reason for her to do this. If she has not realized it already, there is no way he can magically come and save her if he is not even near her. He is a vampire, not a superhuman with lighting speed. The worst part is when she sits in the chair for four months. Really? Why would she sit in a chair for four months and just watch the seasons change. Is she stupid? Nothing is going to change by her sitting there and feeling sorry for herself because a guy can not save her. Grow up woman! It is time for her to start being independent. No decent minded human being sits in a chair for four months, because they are “depressed”. She needs to grow up and face reality. She really needs to stop waiting for a man to save her from everything. This is not the 16th century. If he leaves her, he leaves her. Of course it stinks, but she cannot make her life about one person. That way she will never be happy. Even though one guy left her, she still had Jacob Black (played by Taylor Lautner) who was there for her, and wanted her, and protected her, and not to mention the fact that he is gorgeous. Yet in the end she dropped Taylor like a hot potato and chose Edward, the skinny, pale, “vegetarian” vampire. If any other sane girl, was given a choice between these two, she would pick Jacob, but not Bella because she is a moron who does not know what is good for her. She would rather continuously choose someone who would make her hurt and keep her from enjoying life. Which brings up another point, she is in love with a vampire. Who goes and tries to talk to someone when they know they are not normal? Well Bella, does. The movie overall is not bad , but Bella is just a bad excuse for a girl. She is desperate, needy, and clingy- everything that nobody wants to be.
